Carfax request, had strange results four years ago.

Hello,
I am still looking for information concerning my 1987 GN. It's been missing since 1988! It was recovered in 1988 with 13K, carfax ran in 2001 (thank god for the web) showed a salvage title issued in NY back in 1993, with 29K. So I know it lived after the recovery, just where I don't know. Any help will be greatly appreciated to put it mildly. The VIN was 1G4GJ1173HP457641. If it's out there, I would like it back Thanks in advance, Paul.

Received, and read. Nothing new since 1993. Still looking for the car, and wont give up either! Makes me wonder if DMV keeps records of vin numbers slated for destruction (when cars get crushed).
