After finding tons of rust covered under bondo my car will be living at the body shop for awhile. I am doing a complete strip and repaint. I and gong to have the fenders rolled (hammered) while its there. My question is I am pretty sure want to leave the wheel well trim off. Does any one have any reason not to? looks like there are a few cars on here that dont have wheel well trim. But seems to be hard to tell on black cars.

Leaving the wheel trim off makes it cleaner. Leaving the bumper burettes off is a 100X more dramatic as far as cleaning up the lines.

My car is stripped of all side and wheel moldings and shaved bumpers. IMO it cleans everything up and makes it sleek

I got a roller a few months back and the car was flawless except at the rear of all wheel well trim. It does hold dirt and moisture there. Luckily the areas are small and wont require much work to make them look nice again. My other GN's dont have them so I guess that I wont miss them when they are gone.
