Cas Radiator Problems Where's Tony?

I had a couple of problems with it.
1. The drain valve is so far over to the side it cannot be opened it hits on the frame side. The only way I can drain it is to remove the lower hose.
2. The radiator is so wide(which is a good thing) I had to file down the welds to get it to fit in the car.
3. The lower oil fitting bung is welded in at an angle, not straight. So the factory oil line fitting won't go in, the frame is in the way. In other words I still can't drive the car tommorow I have to get a new hose made with a 45 degree fitting.
4. One of the fittings for the Engine oil cooler had no threads in it. It has the threads to thread into the radiator but not for the hose.
I'm not saying I want my money back okay. I'm not pissed, a little upset but hey things happen with custom built products.
For Over 600 dollars it should fit no problems. I have to buy a new hose, a fitting, etc.
NEWEST PROBLEM
THE DRAIN PETCOK BUNG IS LEAKING ALL OVER THE PLACE IT'S NOT COMPLETELY WELDED IN. So know it has to come out again be repaired or finished whatever you want to call it.
This radiator has had to come out 5 times for one reason or another.
RESPONSE FROM TONY===== NONE HE DOESNOT CALL ME OR E-MAIL ME BACK HAS ANYBODY ELSO HAD PROBLEMS WITHA RADIATOR.

It sounds like you have the same radiator I got from him, but I didn't have any problems.

....I'm not going to say anything bad about Tony since everything (well....just a radiator) I got from him was "on time" and "fit and worked perfectly"......however, if you do a search, many on this board will offer a significantly different opinion. I guess the only thing I'd ever say bad was that the overflow attachment was useless, so I went and picked up a more applicable brass attachment from the hardware.....original kept leaking.

I'm sure someone on the board can chime in and give some "helpful" advice concerning how to "fix" your problem.

I had some problems myself. The welds closed the threads for the Trans cooler. After numerous trips to Pep Boys we got a fitting and forced and ran it through the Aluminum and it kinda made new threads. After that it leaked, a few tries with some sealant and it finally stopped leaking and fit okay.

The other problems, the tanks are to wide and i had to bend my core support a little on the D/S for it to drop in.

Last the top radiator cover fits like crap on the left and right sides and it does not fit flush. I have not done any modification to that as of yet, it is more of a appearance thing.

Suggest you find someone local that can weld aluminum, have them weld it..be done and happy. It will probably cost more to ship it back..and wait

Look for a radiator shop.. ask if they can weld aluminum..most can.

You should e-mail Tony again as he "scolded" me on gnttype last week "he answers all e-mails within 48 hours".

Of course I have been waiting for my answer about purchasing a replacement pipe for a week or so?

If you want a BIG aluminum radiator just buy the BE KOOL for another $60. and be done with it. Mine fit in perfect.
From all the things I have read about TONY, I wouldn't get the time of day from him.
