Well. it broke.
I see from a search that I am not the first one to suffer from this.
I am looking at having a local fabricator make a new one out of stainless. ($) Anybody have a better/other idea on a replacement piece?
Thanks.

Know just what you're going through...I've gone through it twice now... I had a metal shop make me a new one out of metal, so hopefully it won't break again.
If you do a search on here, there is a fellow turbo buick member that makes these brackets, but not sure if they're metal or aluminum. I know he's helped out quite a few of the V-4 owners on here..

If one has the same intercooler and the bracket hasn't fractured yet then it would be a good idea to smooth and round off the cut edges of the bracket. That will reduce the chances of a crack initiating at the rough surface of the original bracket.

By the way, I hope you meant steel. Aluminum is a metal also. :)

Shoot an e-mail to Kip on this board. :) Mine broke as well. I may make it myself or buy one from him.
