I just installed a Caspers Volt Booster. Turned the key on (but didn't start it) and noticed the volt light in the dash didn't come on. So I unplugged the VB and reconnected the single brown wire back into the alternator...turned the key on and volt light comes on like it should! After some poking around I found the 2 brown wires (F and L) on the VB are swapped around. I swapped the brown wires at the VB's alternator connector and now the volt light comes on with the VB all hooked up. I didn't get a chance to try it at WOT because the roads are wet right now.
Sooo....with key on, the volt light should be on with the VB installed, or else the battery will never charge correct? Anybody else ever had this happen with the Caspers VB? I know it sounds like a dumb question but I just wanna make sure I did the right thing swapping the 2 wires around.
