I was wondering if any of you guys had seen this before. My parents recently bought a '97 Buick Riveria & the factory cassette player is somewhat "stuck" in the down position. There is NO tape in it, but when you push the eject button nothing happens. You can actually stick a finger in there & lift it up, but it won't stay up on it's own. The stereo works fine.
The dealership didn't seem too helpful & only offered to replace the entire stereo with a look-a-like for $300.
We would like to know if you guys think this is something mechanical inside, or just the eject button not making contact or something.
