2 questions.

Can you strip a cat of its shell & place that shell over your test pipe tack welding both ends to the test pipe? to make it look semi real?

When looking through a used cat I don't see much daylight.
Does it mean its clogged or designed that way?

You don't see much through a cat. even a good one.

Why not hollow the cat. and use it as your test pipe?

I learned about hollowing the cat out after I bought a test pipe,
Guess I can still open it & gut it out.
