It is very hard for me to believe they had no issues with the CAT girdle. Mine was not flat either. The crank was hitting on a few places on the cross bars, and others were too close to use without clearancing. I personally would not use it without a good .050 clearance. I spent a half a day on that, and making room for the oil pickup tube. The crank was flat on the flywheel mateing surface, but it took a while to fit the woodruff key on the front. Another thing that is hard for me to believe is that the vendor has not heard of any of these problems before. Oh well, I need to go get some sleep.
