I am new to this so I need help. Yesterday I started getting no signal, still doing it today. I just drove a mile away from town to see if it would help, nothing. Do these things die ,or is it just a week signal for a day or so? Battery is charged, AT&T, Samsung phone.

Yep, have to do that back here as well. With the lack of towers it can drain a battery in no time. If you notice when/if your phone says searching for service or has 1 bar it kills your battery.
I have an LG until March and I just had to get my 3rd phone. Pieces of sh!t. Started out hanging up randomly on whoever I was talking to. Then it would shut off if I tried to answer a call or make a call. Did not get voicemails for almost 3 weeks. Battery would drain by the end of the day. My replacement phone is GREAT so far. Battery lasts all day. All my calls show up. Caught up on my voicemails. Tried the "pull the battery" trick and it never worked. Showed the people at Verizon and they tried an update/reflash and that didn't solve it so I got a new phone. So far so good. Glad you got yours fixed.
