Center Support

I'm helping a friend out, and I have a question on the center support section on the GN. Are they any different than a regular 200? I've seen center support that had 3 holes around the inner circle. Are these for greater line pressure, shifting or something else, the one he has, has only 1 hole on the inner circle of it.. Hope I explained it right.

The 200C doesn't use a center support.
