Has anyone seen high porosity (lousy casting venting) behind cylinder #5 Intake runner after having the intake manifold faces skinned at Champion. I'm sure this was a casting vent problem that was occurring below the manifold face so the part passes a physical inspection. However when the decks are skinned a couple of thousands this porosity shows up where the blind passage is behind #5 located inside the gasket passage. Have others seen this? I'm going to coat that surface with Hylomar (flat to the deck) and let it fly.

i think it maybe a factory flaws. i didn't get this from champion. this is a weber one. i hope this is what you are talking about

Fill the voids with JB weld and flat file the surface. Never be a problem
