Do the champion head take a taper seat or a gasketed type spark plug.A customers car has champion heads but a gasketed type plug.TIA,AL.

in my "R" heads I use gasket seal plugs, NGK R5671A-10.

You can use either type plug, BUT you need to check that the plug length is correct.
Depending on the plug and head, you can be too long and have threads exposed in the combustion chamber, or shrouded in the head if too short.
Best way to be sure is check with the head on a bench, and try the make and type of plug you plan to use.
