I sent a set of heads overnight back in dec. to get fixed.
Tom said it will take a couple of weeks to fix them. I have now heard that a few times and twice that they will ship on friday.
I called thursday and friday with no return phone call. I told the lady that answered the phone that I want my heads sent back to me done or not.
Indy cylinder head "35 miles from my house" said they can fix them or finish fixing them with a week turn around.
Me and my buddy are talking about driving to florida next week to get them. We only have 4 races and the first is coming up quick.
Am I in the wrong here?

Sounds like the same thing that happened to me. It took 9 months to get mine back after i heard month after month they are done i just have to put them in a box. It made the descision to but TA's a whole lot easier. Good luck Ronnie.

Took me 3 months to get my heads & Intake from them ....Same thing always talking to the chick on the phone and never getting return calls .... LOL steve i heard that one also ..All i gotta do is Box em up ... that took 3 weeks..... told me they were very busy doing boat engines .....

Not just repair work but any kind of return phone call--even trying to buy new parts. Easier to get an audience with the Pope. Best of luck.

A couple years ago I needed a set of fully worked heads. Was recommended to go to them. Nice stuff for sure. However the phone calls fell on deaf ears. Waited 2 weeks, had cash, no return calls when numerous attempts were made. I went to Weber racing a vendor on this board and within a week my new race ported heads were ready. When CRH finally called back saying heads were ready they cried because I went elsewhere.

I wish I was just chit talking lol. I wouldn't have to drive 1400 miles to resolve this and I'm not going to be happy when I get there.
I am making plans with my boss tommorrow to leave sometime this week.
I'm not just saying that to scare them into fixing them at this point I don't want them too. I just want MY heads!!!

Took about 3 weeks to get a set of exhaust valves. I did get a call from Tom though. Apparently, the ball got dropped when I made the first call. Just sharing my interaction. . . . . . A business is only as good as the weakest link.

Having said that . . . I think everyone agrees that Champion makes some real quality heads. Remember when Weber had issues? They successfully resolved it as well.

Growing pains? Maybe.
Time for change? Absolutely!!

I hope this 3+ month wait thing isn't for a new pair of heads too. I'll be waiting another year to complete my build if thats the case or ill have to find someone else with a good quality head.

I can understand peoples frustration but there are two games in town. Champion and TA.

Considering Champion heads are considerably cheaper then TA's and apparently efficient enough to be run on the fastest TSM car in the history of the world Id say people are waiting extended periods of time for a reason. That reason being price and proven quality.

A return phone call is not a lot to ask for and I guess there is no excuse for that but if people wanted they could always buy a set from TA. Not many do and for a reason.

If you want a motor build from RPE or DLS which are two of the most popular proven top notch engine builders out there ur gonna wait several months as well and there are numerous engine builders out there to choose from.

A returned phone call or part is not a lot to ask for tho. I agree.
