When I bought my car it already had a B&M shift kit installed. I never liked the way it shifted at part throttle it would have hard late shifts (unless this is another problem). I would like to try Bruces shift kit which I believe is just a modified seperator plate, but i have no idea if the previous shift kit might have required moding the valvebody itself. Do any B&M kits do that? If so would there be any tell tale signs and a way to reverse it?

Basicly can i just swap the seperator plates and install the new regulator valve and be done?

Generally, it is unwise to install one kit on top of another unless you are absolutely sure that there are no incompatibilities.

Perhaps you could contact B&M and have them fax you a copy of their kit instructions. Then you'd know what was done to your valve body.
