I am almost ashamed to admit that I had not changed the transmission fluid in my T for the 13 years I have owned it. I got around to it today and I was really surprised at how clean the fluid was. There was VERY little clutch material in the pan, which I was happy about. I just ended up putting in a Wix filter and regular old Dexron III fluid. I had thought about going with Dexron 6 or Type F, but I just wasn't sure enough about either to try it. In retrospect, I should have installed a drain plug to make future changes easier.
