Very true. Very true. I can tell ya that the colors won't be exactly like the emblem, but would look good none the less. Since I haven't seen anything around like this, maybe it wouldn't be so bad.

i've made a quite a few of these banners. And stickers...i recently stopped due to changing jobs. Idk how much you'd charge for them but i was charging $45 bucks for a 2x5 and some people thought that was too much...

The price I was quoting is for a 3x12 foot banner printed on 13oz outdoor grade fiberglass reinforced gloss vinyl. Unfortunately, vinyl has been going up with oil prices. It's went up on me twice within the last 7 months. Figure in the cost of those solid brass grommets and ink...... almost forgot the rope that was figured in.

What were you using to make your banners and stickers? Mine, and the one that I'm going to replace it with now that it was pointed out I had the colors on the six backwards is a Scitex XLjet. Superfast and big, but super expensive too.

We have two other printers, but this is our latest. All of them print up to 16.4 feet wide though......

I hope I can get some answers on the copyright stuff soon though. I don't think I need the hassle of getting into something at the moment as I don't need to miss any work or get in trouble. They just filled up my oil tank for the winter and it was over a grand.

You might want to shop around some more. We haven't seen any increases and are still getting it in the $.12-$.14 range. The prices came down pretty steadily over the last 10 yrs or so until about a year ago when the leveled off and have remained constant for the most part. Of course we buy it by the container so that may have an effect also.

The scitex is a nice machine, I have no first hand experience with them other than demos etc. but my friends in the industry that have them are happy with them.

I wouldn't bother triing to get permission to use the logo because you will never get it. If you aren't selling thousands of these things I really doubt they will mess with you I just wouldn't advertise it.

Your right, about 10 years ago that stuff was extremely high then it droped. Seems like the first time we ordered vinyl it was in the $.57 range. I usually buy 100 rolls at a time of in various widths. If I could get them to build me a storage building so I could order a whole container full, it would be cheaper. Would also get free shipping if I could order the whole trailer full. Right now I'm getting the good stuff for around $.21. Used to get it for $.15. I could go with some cheaper stuff, but since we have alot of customers on the gulf coast, all it would do is bite me in the butt when the seams for the pockets rip. One other thing, I'm using the best inks for the XL and our Grandjet as well. They hold up real good and have a real good color gamut.

It's been the best 250 G's we've spent!! Of course now, seven months later, they have come up with an XLjet Premium. Not any better quality, but a pretty good boost in speed.

One last thing for everybody. I'm going to make up some this coming week in both color sets. I'll post a pic of a black one as soon as I get one printed. I talked with the owner this week and he said I would have to do it own my own time, but I could let them slide for 50 plus shipping. I'll let everyone know when I have some ready to go. Probably just do the paypal thing and then I can write the company a check for them after a week or two.
