I saw a demonstration of these cars at the county fair a year or two back. It looked like it may be a fun hobby ... for about a week or so.

them guys have 3500+ dollors into them things i got around 1000 into mine and it will do 100 fun hobby till u crash it and it coast like 250 to repair it thats just a minor crash my friend custom bulit his 5k + into it and it got hit buy a car the 3rd time out with it damn cell phone towers
