Check valve or solenoid?

Good morning, I recently picked up a snow performance stage II kit, with the solenoid upgrade. Brand New for really cheap.

So, which is better to use, the solenoid or should I buy a check valve?

The only thing I don't like about the kit is the pump head only has push lock fittings, it isn't threaded so I can use AN lines.

No opinions? I guess I'll stick with what I have, the solenoid.
