Some of the Chevy Monza's in the late 70's came with a 3.8. Does any one know if this was a Buick 3.8 odd fire or was it a Chevy engine. Just curious.
gracias.

Most that were V6 cars were the buick 3.8. Odd fire up to 77. Even fire after that. Some of the 79's or so were 3.2 litre cars. Same motor mounts. No chevy V6 offered in the H-body. :)

Same thing applies to the H-body as the G-body. 77 and older is odd-fire. 78 and newer is even-fire. All the V-6's were Buicks.78-79 was the only year for the 3.2/196(used the same crank as the 3.8). The only Chevy built motors were the V-8's and the Vega 140 four banger. The 2.5L/151 4 cylinder was a Pontiac built motor. Motor mounts interchange between the odd-fire and even-fire.
