I know its not the right thing. BUT aftermarket roller lifters for our cars are literally for a small block chevy. WHY couldn't a college kid whos building a new motor in his garage use some cheaper roller lifters for a sbc and save some cash? Yes I know im supposed to get the buick specific ones. But they're identical.... Just curious. Thanks

how are they cheaper? 129 a pair ... you need 6 pairs

with buick you have to be carefull that the height of the groove for the oil galley doesnt travel past the lifter bore with higher lift or youll loose oil pressure

Half are Chevy? I have these in a stage motor.

Update. I’ve ordered a set of speed pro lifters. Seems they’re made by Johnson maybe? They were a deal and in great condition. Seems through research that they’re all the same as melling/johnson/gm.
