chinese steel crank

any hot airs out there with chinese steel crank and rods? Just trying to get some info before my next build. I was thinking of using a 109 block with chinese steel crank, h beam rods, steel mains, and girdled. Anybody have this setup? would it work? how many lbs of boost could I run? with alky of course. Any input, thoughts, or comments would be appreciated. no bs please!

There isn't any strength differences between the ha and 109 blocks.....go for it. You might contact Kip Asplund here on the board for a BA crank and rods. They are machined better than the cat stuff......good luck

We built a hot air block that runs 11"s with an Eagle crank.

A few local 109's run mid-high 9's with the parts you spec'ed.
