Chip -L/U vs. Non L/U

Will a chip programed for a L/U convertor need to be re-programed if the trans is changed to a Non lock up, or does it really matter?

As far as the trans and converter go, it makes no difference. If the chip adjusts the timing and/or fueling when it commands lockup, you might go a little quicker if that feature is removed.
