Has anyone taken a chip with lower timing and modified it to increase timing and have the car slow down? Had a GN run the 1/8 mile at 7.5 @ 91 with 20* of timing in the chip. Same car changed timing to 24* in the chip and slowed the car to a 7.9 @ 86. Talked to a local chip guru and he has seen some GN's run better, with less timing compared to more timing, at the same boost levels. Car has fully ported heads with true 3500 convertor (9.5" vigilante) and all the big bolt-on goodies to make it run. There is no knock and the SM2 numbers are dialed in as far as 02's, on both chips.
Anyone else ever experience this????
PS. Run the 24 degree chip in another GN and run 94 mph in the 1/8 at 21#. Due to bad 60' time (1.84), from spinning DR, it only run a 7.7 ET.
