I was wondering if anyone has a chrome shop that they have used and are happy with for small items such as:fuel rails, vac. lines,--mainly underhood motor parts since my car is now apart for a rebuild.

Also--Mike(Arista5)--i thought i saw you list one time a place to get a chrome alternator--just wondering if you have that info anymore?

Thanks for any help:cool:

Geoff

i paid roughly 165 for my alt 145amp from www.bestamericaind.com as for my chrome i have so much from different places, however the worst thing i have was from kirbans, the vacuum can cover, turned....

buy the kit and do it urself :)

alot cheaper.

I almost choked when I saw the triple chrome kit prices, but you're right. It will be a lot cheaper. For what they want for chroming I think I'll just pass and stay boring. :( ;)

Have you actually done some plating with kit yourself?and if so----how were your results. That's alot of money to experiment.

Thanks for the links.

Well its not alot considering what people charge to chrome stuff. And no i havnt done any plating myself, but was looking at it. I didnt even know that existed untill about a month ago. They have a few diffrent setups, the copy chrome looks just like chrome also, and that kit is 99 bucks for the small one. It does seem like alot of work tho, and looks like it makes a mess, also you are limited on size also.
