More bullsh!t.

Analysts say a lot of things that don't happen. The reason their sales dropped more than everyone else's is because rumors have been circulating that GM is going to buy chrysler and ditch all but two of their models. And I love this statement:

"Analysts say most of Chrysler's products, especially its cars, don't look, feel or drive as well as the competition's"

Don't know who the hell they are talking about. The caliber sucks, we know. The rest of their line up is on par or better than anything else. I've driven every single one of them, as well as the GM equivalent to most of them. Chrysler put a lot of new/restyled stuff out for 09 including some interior upgrades from their new interior design studio. The car market will turn around, GM is still in worse shape, and I'll put my own personal 07 pacifica against anything else like it for ride/drive/accel/room/fuel economy. Also they still make the best minivan (always have) and GM and Ford will be copying the new Ram. It's too bad the truck market is down so bad, the Ram is killer.

I hardly even need to mention the challenger. Everyone knows how well it's doing.

Also Ty I know you posted this just to get a rise out of me. I guess it worked.

If it is true, those who bought those challengers will have a car worth money if they keep it nice and the milage down. I hope its not true I love my turbo diesel truck and it is still under warranty

Toyota shut their plants down also. I guess they are done too. Too many Chicken Littles in the world these days selling doom and gloom for a living.

The game is "See? I was right" or "Thank God I was wrong". Either way the talking heads get some attention.

I think they are just taking breaks to try to sale the inventory at the lots. Most new car dealers are way overstocked...

No actually I didnt do it to piss you off, but now that I think about it I am glad it worked:biggrin:

As you know Bob, I drive a Durango Limited (wife does) and for work I have a Town and Country for the simple fact that is the ONLY DEALER we have left in town. I sure as hell hope nothing happens!

First I'll say I am a Mopar fan. I grew up with the Dukes, my first car was a 68 Road Runner and I know the 68-71 Mopars well. A tripple black 70 Dodge Coronet R/T 440 6-Pack or Hemi 4 speed would be in my top 3 at least. I've built a Ram Charger and a 440 powered Simon & Simon Powerwagon. The new Challenger is beautiful and I hope we don't lose Chrysler. That said I would have a hard time buying another Chrysler vehicle ever after my wifes p.o.s. Grand Cherokee and my Cummins powered Ram that had problems with everything but the Cummins. Talk to someone who runs an up to date, fully certified and equipped body shop, where they work on even the newest vehicles that get damaged, and ask them how well Chryslers are built compared to the domestic and foreign competition. About the nicest response you'll get is "they make a nice looking vehicle".
