Me of little mind wants to know if the servo travel getting larger (going from .070 to .140) will cause a 2-3 flair.
I had my direct clearance @ .035 and the servo travel @ .070.
Started to develop a 2-3 flair. Upon inspection I found that the directs had opened to .045 (not a sign of black on any frictions-still the Alto red). I got that back to .034 by changing a Kolene .077 to a .088.
Thought of this after reinstalling trans --maybe the lug on the Alto wide band had pushed in to allow for the pin to move farther. Did not remove band as it was perfect. I know that some of the Alto wide bands had a piece of steel welded in to eliminate this. I think this band is a later one that they redesigned but there is still a small gap.
I believe the same shot of oil that knocks the band off also applys the directs.
If so I can see where this could mess up the critical timing. Thanks
