Classic Fast Ecm not Found

I parked the car 3 yrs ago.Now im ready to start playing again and wanted to check over the program since i made some changes.Now the laptop i get a "ecm not found". Please tell me thats not a hard problem to solve..

Does the laptop show the correct time? The bios battery could have died causing the system to default to shut off the serial port. This is common on thinkpads.

I had to set the time when i turned the LT on. Btw its a Gateway.Are you thinking it's a LT problem and not a ecm problem..I will have to try another LT.. Thanks for the reply...Tom

Yes try another computer to be sure. Thecar runs correct?

No the car isnt ready to run yet.I wanted to make sure everything was still on the ecm..
