The other day while my GN was parked in my garage, as luck would have it, a shelf that had been on my garage wall for years collapsed and caused some dings, bruises and scratches.
Looking for some guidance, I haven’t filled a claim as of yet. Would this fall under my classic policy or home owners..
Any advice or guidance is much appreciated.

if the car has a title it will need to claim on your auto policy

Yes the car has a title, I appreciate your feedback. Dumb question, why would the car not have a title?

Good info Pacecarta. ..

My agent told me that since I don't drive my car over the winter to put the policy on hold until the weather becomes nice and to reinstate at that time. He said that the home owners insurance will cover it.
I haven't taken him up on it as it saves very little.

Any motorized vehicle usually over 50 hp and/or that can be registered must be insured on its own insurance policy. All vehicles are excluded on a homeowners policy. Make sure you insure your restoration projects as well. Hagerty will let you insure projects in the middle of restoration. If the house burns and the vehicle is not insured you get nothing. The agent that tells you your homeowners will cover your vehicle has not read the contract. ATV's, mini bikes and motorcycles all fall into this category when they are over 50 hp. Make sure you read your contract or ask the company. Some policies do vary by state. I sell in Connecticut so whats covered on our contracts maybe different than yours.
