"They were both gross I doubt they were ever cleaned. Put everything back together" quote" ...didnt see it mentioned but did you remove the throttle body to clean? or by chance did you spray down throttle body/blade area.... maybe you simulated flooding the engine with dirty gunk?

So, it has fuel pressure(can you hear the pump prime)?
Goofing with the iac can produce probs if you stretched or bent the spring. Id pull it out and see if it moves and is free.
Have you pulled any plugs, as above you might have soiled them or they got "wet".
Go over the things you unplugged and make sure all are back in making good connections.

Ok so I am back and no good news. I have replaced the iac and no dice it bought it from advanced auto. Is there some sort of installation prep? I have fuel I have spark but the car doesn't run crazy to me. I am out of ideas at this point. Even switched the cpu with one what came with the car. Nothing I switched the chips in them also so that just the cpu was different. I believe the chips are stock just black. Any and all help is appreciated.

I removed it to clean it. Sorry for the slow response. Work is very busy

If you removed the throttle body, that means you removed all of the vacuum lines and the electrical connectors right? So starting from the path of least resistance... Double check that everything you removed was put back how it was supposed to be. (As has been said before)

Did you use a new gasket for the TB?
What did you use to clean all the gunk out?
Are you able to take pictures of what the engine looks like now? Maybe if you posted a picture, someone could spot something looking weird.
Did you ever pull the plugs like everyone else mentioned?
Did you reset the TPS to the correct range?

Start with the obvious (even tho you may have checked it already) and you will find the problem since the car ran before you cleaned the TB.

So I just pulled the plugs and they were all out of spec around .27 to .30 and had build up on them. The no.5 tip almost no gap, some black crap was on the tip of the plug. I am going to buy new ones today. I will have to search the recommended part no. for plugs on this site. The thottlebody gasket is the old one didn't look bad. I used carb cleaner but I took the throttle body apart b4 I spayed it. Tps is set to correct range. I will take a few pics and post them. I''ll warn you now this car sat in a guys yard in southern VA for 7 plus years so yeah it's rough.

We have spoken on the phone a few times. And the last time we talked, I suggested to you that you need to change your plugs and T43TS are a start.. But would recommend that you run a AUTOLITE 134 (NO PROJECTED TIP). Your up pipe is JUNK. Rusted and with holes. Good look on building bust. That is gonna cause you some surging....... All of your wiring around the IAC looks good except to the wire going to the alternator for your heated O2. I would fix that connection. Don't forget to state that you just put on a hotwire kit and new fuel pump. That the car ran before you did all this.

Did you turn over the motor a few time to get rid of all that gas that was sitting in your cylinders? Last we talked, you said the plugs were soaked. So get new plugs and gap to around 30. Secondly, did you get new wires yet? You said that one of your wires pulled apart. All these issues you are having is maintenance and from something that happened on the install that you are overlooking. It gets frustrating trying to figure out somethings wrong.

You need to get a file tube or filter in that hole of your valve cover. That is asking for something to happen... Your vacuum lines on the passenger side look rough. But shouldn't cause the care to not start. It will cause you to have a really high idle.

What reading should the IAC have with the key in the on position but the engine is not running? This new one reads 150 like the one I replaced? New plugs and new wires still nothing

When I told u I did the hot wire kit and pump it ran after I did those things. When I tried to clean the throttle body is when the car didn't want to run anymore. The pump and hot wire kit worked great.

Does it try to start and die right away? If so check your vacuum block on top, you may have forgotten to tighten it properly.

Your IAC will read high when the car is not running. IAC is measured when car is running

Dave, his car will just crank crank and crank. Wont start or act like it going to start

Going WAY old school for a bit... you have spark, you have fuel pressure. Is it making it into the cylinders and thats where all the gas came from that was sitting? If so, time for a compression check. Might not be the issue but its something to rule out. I swear someone said something about compression already...

Thinking about all the fuel sitting in the cylinders, you are going to need to change that oil ASAP once you do get it running.
