Hello all,

Any recommendations on cleaning the interior? My car is in very good condition but dusty inside from not driving it very often for the last few years.

Should I clean with just water? Any suggestions??

Thanks alot,

Ravi

If it's just dusty and not dirty, wipe it with a microfiber towel. That's all I do to my interiors when they aren't dirty.

cleaning the interior

the best way i found is to spray the interior with simple green , one area at a time then with suds only(put soap in a bucket and spray hard to produce good suds)scrub the cloth area with a semi durable brush, then take a dry white cloth and press firmly back and forth and watch the dirt come onto the rag, then let air dry..this works good on carpet too, always vacuum first..be careful not to put any degreaser on any item with white lettering as it will dissapear..good luck..on headliners just mist it then wipe off with a clean rag this really looks good...

On the plastic and vinyl pieces I use Maguires vinyl cleaner, the glass, I use an non ammonia glass cleaner (safe for tinted windows). Before vacuuming the carpet, go to home depot and purchase an acid dip brush or a small triangle hand broom. Use the brush or broom on the carpet and seats. this loosens the dirt and fluffs the clothe and carpet material. Then follow with a vacuum. The clothe interior will never look better. Also, on the steering wheel you can use shoe polish

I have some duck tape resadue* on the plastic in front of my headliner...and its looks like crap where the previous owners friend tried to tape up the headliner. Any ideas on how i could get it off easily without ruineing anything?

For tape residue, use Goo Be Gone. They sell it at Walmart. Works!

A good carpet cleaner does wonders too. I used this instead of simple green but other then that followed almost step for step what was mentioned here.
