hey guys i tried this the other night and some other stuff got brought in so ill try again- do you think if i put clear bottom turn signals in my GN, put H4 bulbs in them, and made my marker lights into turn signals would it work? or would the angle be too high. i just want to try and brighten up the night a little bit you know- any input is apreciated!

Andrew

I can't answer your question, but I'd like to know some info on where you're gonna get the clear lense for the bumper.

you can get clear lenses from earlier regals
angle could be adjusted with the bulb mounting behind the lens
, not sure if the clear lens housings could handle the heat and dont beleive they are very reflective

the silverstars are plenty bright and if more is needed consider the headlamp hotwire from caspers or kirbans

im gonna pick some silverstars up this week- i just figured it might be somthing different- i might try it ill see how much it will cost. thanks guys

Four doors and wagons had them. EXACT same mold, just clear lense. Try checking at the dealer. I have heard that they are no longer available, though. If that is the case, then the junkyard is where you want to look. Or my back yard. Oh no wait, I'm keeping those.

make your own headlight hotwire kit........

silverstars dont do **** unless they have 14.5v straight from the alternator.

BTW, I put on silverstars a few weeks ago when Advance had them on sale. They blow away the standard headlights.

well im gonna do the hot wire, silverstars- and im gonna try the clear signals with a fog light bulb in it- ive had a set of fog lights with a platic lense in it but it had a metal housing- and they never melted or burnt- its worth a try- i have a set of camaro amber lenses laying around maybe ill put the bulbs in them for an hour and see what happens to them they are all plastic- thanks for all the help guys!

measure your voltage at the headlight plug. if its not 14.5v (or the same as your alternator voltage) then you'd love to see how bright my lights are...

Andrew

how about you just mail me those housings instead and not wast them?

1. they are not meant to be foglights

2. they are not even directed down at the road at all

3. the reflector in the back wont reflect the light onto the road

4. you WILL melt them or burn them

Wouldn't try to make them into fog lights but I do think they look pretty good. Bought mine new from GM but I understand they are discontinued.

silverstars make a huge difference! I replaced mine last week, and they were buy 1 get one 1/2 off at Advance Auto

There's also a $5.00 rebate for buying 2, until 3/31. If you didn't get it, go back and get the "mail-in coupon" from them.

DOH!

I will check it out when I get home.

;)

also........ some people, for new cars, put their housings in an oven to soften the glue.. then they pry them apart

considering our cars are eleventy billion years old.....that might not work... just a thought :)

If I read right, you want to put clear corner headlights on your Buick?? All I am gonna say is that you have a Buick, not a honda rice rocket.

Saw the pics of the clear signal lites before and they actually looked pretty good, not ricey at all. I even attempted to do one myself but just ended up ruining one in the process.:(

putting clear turn signals in a GN isnt rice- older regals had them- i think the amber looks out of place- but i dont want to tint them- its just somthing minor to clean the front end up a bit
