hey everyone im currently in a lil bit of a bind and need a little advice. to some this may sound silly but i just need to know a way to get this issue moddified and solved.
i am currently in the progress of putting a turbo 6 drivetrain into a 89 notchback. im having a clearence issue with my header and crossover then is very tight to my crossbar on my k-member that holds the a-arm, below i was curious if the k-member inbetween the a arms can be heated and dented without losing that much strength to the metal, its a upr tubular k-member and i need roughly about 1/2 to 3/8 more clearence to make it work?
so basicly im asking if the k-member in between the two a-arm bolts can be heated up and dented to get my clearence i need to get my v-band clamp on the headers and crossover flange with out cause damage to the strenght part of the k-member. i just want to be safe hope this doesnt sound to dumb
any advice will be helpful thanks guys
