our work horse cought fire today, with me and my son in it,
now me and the wife don't know what to do? is there a person out there who can give me an idea of how much it would cost ?
is it worth fixin instead of buy a car that god knows how long it has left?

I bought my friends 79 Regal w/70 GS engine in it because it caught fire. It looked about the same but it sat for about a week with water in the cylinders where the fire dept put it out. I poured 2-3 qts of ATF in the intake and pulled th eplugs and cranked over. Jumped the starter with 12 volts. Point is, it looked about the same as that but not as much electrical stuff. That would be your biggest problem. All that other stuff is no big deal, at least from the looks of the pic. If all the damage is under the hood, could prob fix it, really need more detailed pics but just look really close at all the elec damage. make sure its stuff you can replace.
BTW, I never could get that smell out of the car, even 5 years later it still smelled burnt.

if all that still works, its prob mostly superficial (spelling) Strat looking around at the junk yards for all these parts your gonna need. Id make a list and go from there. BTW, what kind of car is this?

1994 jeep grand cherrokee, leather, tow package, 4x4 it was a great work horse, it towed my gn from ny to miami when i first bought my gn, that was 5500 lbs it towed with no poblem we love this jeep, i will do what you said and make a list of what i need and check the salvage yards, thanks ws6, at least there's hope

no prob, dont forget about eBay too, and I would also search for some Jeep boards like this one, can prob find parts there as well.
I drove my Regal for another year fater the fire, then I took it apart to put a larger engine and sus rebuild, it still ran strong at the time

If you will get a list of parts you need together, my family has a few auto salvage yards and I bet I can dig up some stuff for you! Also, I will need to know what size engine (looks like a 5.2 liter), year etc.

cwelk87gn, that would be great, and you gotta sharp eye it is a 5.2 liter i will get a list of things that i need but as you can see fuel rail, carburater, throttle cable, i will make a better list or take a video, or whatever you need, thanks again cwelk87gn

no-nos I ran a shop that did alot of JEEP work if you call them they can help you find what you need they have some JEEP only yards to pull parts from and do it all the time.

no not yet, i have to wait till the weekend, i could take the gn and look around but i'm on some strong medication, i don't want to cause an accident, my friend said he's willing to take me but i have to wait for the weekend( his days off) hay mytyphoon i know a guy with a typhoon who used to work at autozone that would'nt be you would it?
