Yes I search on this too

I recently bought an OTC 2000. while screwing around with it, I noticed that it never was in open loop at idle. I really have not looked at any of the numbers yet, but this caught my attention. From what I understand it should be in open loop until it warms up enough, yes? I have read that it also depends on the chip as well.

I do have a heated O2 kit that came with the car, although it is not installed.

The chip is a hypertech, not sure how old, probably from the 80's, like my hair.

the point of havign a heated o2 is to get into closed loop faster, regardless of what you hear, its not for leaded fuel, shame on you who use that stuff:D

I don't think it woudl help much once the car is heated up.
