Yes,the dreaded 3-2 clunk is gone. I had to remove the PTS pin, reinstall the stock pin and cushion spring. Shifts are great and downshifts are hardly noticeable. I still used the PTS servo. Best trans I built yet.

Yep,
You gotta have the cushion spring.

I'm not sure why anyone would suggest removing it. You can get super hard 1-2 shifts with the spring in place, too many other ways to get there if desired to even consider removing the spring.

Bad 3-2

Please  tell me if you are talking about the old stock GN pin and cushion spring. And do you have the new purple pts servo. Thanks.

Yes,
The stock pin and cushion spring from the GN or any 200-4R.

Pin length needs to be correct, and an adjustable pin is a neat idea but not worth leaving the cushion spring off.

Thanks to you both, I will try mine Saturday with my fingers cross. I just spent alot of money in this tranny, and can't stand the clunck. Thanks for sharing this good info.

I am VERY pleased with my trans,I hope you will be too! CK and Pts parts threw out.

Steve V, I just found the time to Install the cushion spring today.:D :D :D :D I really want to thank you for the post and the help. I am like you for the first time, can say that I am really happy with my trans. I spent a lot of $$$$$ on something that I was not happy with. AGAIN THANKS!!!
