I would be interested in using this. How much do they run and where can I get one?

Oh and also, this was probably covered somewhere here before, it is better to use liquid to fin conduction than air to fin. Meaning that the intercooler would 'cool' better if submerged in a liquid that was cold than to just blast cold air in a few spots. Liquid by far conducts heat better than gas.
Some sort of glycerin that was cooled to -80C with the CO2 or NOS?Then you don't have to worry about thermal shock since the mass of the liquid would be quite large.

My co2 kits spray liquid co2 onto the intercooler when the liquid hits the intercooler it turns to DRY ICE packing your intercooler with DRY ICE very effective!

Just like I said. liquid is better than air![]()
In addition, I said that was a big difference in temp cycling and temp shock. I wasn't implying that intercoolers can deteriorate over time. I don't know or have any data.
In fact, since your liquid is being applied to the fins, I would think that there is not enough fin mass to see any detrimental effects of stress due to contraction (from the extreme cold). The more massive the less 'give' there is for any expansion or contraction.

That's what I was wondering... how do you keep the co2 from getting sucked into the intake? Especially when at speed? He lost in the final round during a big event cause the co2 was sucked into the intake upon taking off.
That is my only problem with using co2.
Im glad someone finally started a thread about this... all of the old farts on here are so dead set in their ways that they think they know it all and a "new" idea must not work... I basically got called a fool in my previous thread about CO2 and NOS sprayers... made me mad enough to actually stop coming here for a few weeks...
My boss has an Srt-4 and he put a NOS sprayer on his stock intercooler... Very noticable difference... then he got a better intercooler than had almost 2x the surface area. It made a difference, but the spray bar on that intercooler made the biggest difference of all! This works and is a good kick in the pants.... Honestly I would do it if I felt like spending the money and installing it but I have other things that need to be done before I do this. I think it would work especially well on our shrouded stock intercoolers bye the way...
