I have a coan 10" race converter which according to my calculations slips between 13 and 15 %. I sent all my info to coan to see what can be done to make it more effeicient. They told me they couldnt do too much with that converter but if i bought their 9 inch converter they would be able to dial it in more to my liking. I guess a PTC may be in my future for next year.:D

The 9" will be looser down low but will still slip up top. I had good luck with some of the Art Carr converters but it took spinning the engine to 6500-6700 to make it efficient. Even then the 9.5 picked it up a tenth and 1.5mph. The 9.5 will slip well under 10% even by 5800 rpm. Spin it to 6500 and it's under 5%.

The one in my blue car slips about 6.5%@128mph/5500rpm. That's with a 29" slick too. Really good slip number for the relatively low rpm and tall gearing. The PTC custom converters really get it done

That average low end rwhp gain you and Otto have noticed is an eye opener:biggrin:
