Car was driving fine. I accelerated and there was a snap sound. I pulled over opened the hood and there was smoke. The erg valve connector had fallen against the exhaust manifold and melted. I deleted the egr long ago. I tried to clear the code, but it came back and the car is faltering and running very poorly. I cut the melted connector off, thinking it was shorting out, but the code is still there.

Did you check fuses?

Hello Mr. Garrett,

First thing that comes to mind, the plug shorted and blew a fuse.

All the cooler couplings are tight?

Hey Rick,
I just checked that, and the number 19 fuse which has nothing to do with any of this, was melted. Changed the fuse, code 33 came back idling really crappy and won't take fuel. Now there's a whistling sound from up front, low on the engine.
