They do not do Anything for performance?

I agree, so I removed my AC to combat the issue.
So what your saying is that guys like Don Cruz, Adam C, Jason Cramer and others that race TSM that are running Cold Air Intakes "THEY ARE NOT ADDING ANYTHING PEFORMANCE WISE?"On the street, on a hot day when you are running the A/C, a car will most definately be faster than an identical car with a K&N on the MAF. Not by too much, but by some.
At the track, with proper cool down, its very hard to notice a difference.

They get proper cool down too!
Just wanting to know why a TON of people have them and why the TSM racers are using them if there is no difference!

No special stance here, Just simply trying to figure out why!In the game of feet its all about inches. The inches they crave have nothing to do with real street car results. On a street car the filter will be like a giant hoover sucking all the dirt of the road.. clogging the filter sooner than latter. Something that is not an issue with a race car that is seldom if never street driven.
The first time you lose performance and pull your hair out for weeks trying to figure where your lost MPH went.. and you come to find out it was a clogged K&N.. you'll rethink your stance.
Been there.. got the T-shirtand had the clogged K&N cost me 4 MPH trap speed decrease

Well i'm running a front mount on this car for the first time and I can tell you one thing your right on the under the hood temps being higher with a FMIC!A Front Mount will make the MAF mounted K&N much hotter than a stock location intercooler will, maybe enough to make a measurable difference.
.05 seconds on a 9 second car is huge, especially if it runs 9.04. On a 12.8 second car, not so much.
