umm a car nut . Bought a New 70 Mach 1 CJ drag pack car in Oct 69. Rims, traction bars an headers in the first 3 months. That summer I sold the original CJ an bought a 427 Med Riser. What a $$$ pit . Lots of my buddys got married to. They all had all sorts of performance cars. Made a comment to the wife about what a deal it was. Her responce "Buy the damm thing an sell it" That started my sickness. Both of us working but don't know how we did it. Oh she had my old car a 68 Mustang fastback 302/4 speed. Shelbys, Cobra's and Ford Performace stuff came an went. Bought our first 67 GT 500 in 1972 for $700 !! Guys wife wanted a new living room set. Bought a 66 GT 350 convert in 74 . Then a 427 Cobra in may 1976. We were always on a roll. 85 we went to Turbo Buicks after a 5 year hiatus for cars.

At 1 time I had an old U Haul trailer, full of that stuff, including a couple sets of tunnel ports, and 1 cammer.
No-one wanted it, even when I threw in the trailer.....Guess what it's worth, now!

I was a parts whore back then to . Strickly FE 427 and anything early Shelbys. Had all the cool guy engines to .. Low, (original motor from a 427 Cobra, Med. hiriser, tunnelport and the Cammer. Cammer I paid $600 for a new one. Guy bought it for his car an he had some problems so the engine baled him out. I sold it for $2500 a few years later after thinking of all the $$$ I had sitting in my basement an was tired of car crap. Sold my Cobra an concentrated on building another new house. Emissions were coming out for 1980. So got out in 1980 to 85. Then the Buick disease hit.

ummmm... we def all have problems but there is a good in some of them.
Now she is a pain. I have a new F150, Buick powered wagon, the ol Mazda/Buick, and a CSX4000 427 Cobra. I really NEED more cars. She doesn't. Wants me to sell the Mazda and wagon an get a new performance car. The 427 Cobra's were her favorite cars we have owned. 2nd place was her 89 TTA.
Sooooo I am really doin pretty good. She has only tried to kill me a few times when I had a yard full of Buick GNs.
