coloured valve covers?

Are there any aftermarket valve covers that are of a differnet colour? I'm thinking red...to match my car colour and the MSD sparkplug wires

If I'm just to paint them... what kind of heat safe? paint would be used?

personally i wouldn't paint them, but thats just my tastes. if you think it will look good then go for it. there is plenty of high temp paints to use, the valve covers don't get all that hot so almost any high temp paint will work. be sure to clean them off very well first, any oil will screw up the paint.

ever think of powder coat? lasts forever and looks good.

I just powdercoated the original covers on mine a silver mix (a little aluminum, a little chrome and some clear-special formula) then did the areas between the fins in high-gloss red, leaving the fins themselves silver. Or you could do the opposite-red coat everything but the fins. Personally I like a little contrast.

I just used Duplicolor spray paint that is the same color as my car, it's been on there 3 years with no problems........v-covers

So, I think I'll go with the aforementioned paint! I don't know of anyone, who can/will powder coat?!? Besides...painting can be done in an afternoon
