well i have a transmission fluid leak

it only occurs if the front of my car is equal or lower than the rear

so if i pull into a driveway and the front end is higher... no leak

i think this is very odd... it only leaks about 20% of the time if the car is level... it doesnt leak much,... maybe 2 drops

it leaks right in the area of where the torque convertor is but i am unable to see the origin of the leak...
just wondering if this is common for something breaking?

hmm i am thinking it had to be something like that... drips down around the front of the pan and over the bolts towards the motor

is there any way to tell if that is what it is or do i have to jack u p the car and look at it from there or with the torque converter off??

thanks for the reply

On a RWD car, you can probably tell by lifting the car, removing the inspection cover, and shining a flashlight up there. You might need a dentist's mirror or something similar, you're looking for a pattern of fluid being "slung" from the input shaft. If it's not leaking bad you might not be able to tell.

On a FWD car like my Toronado, you can't see up in there at all.
