X3 You should never have to remove the dampner on 980's on a stock headed engine.


To the guy that removed them, did you checked spring pressure at install height? I bet it’s dramatically lower than in should be not to mention spring stability/control at higher rpm’s

yes we check the tension and the tension is very close the advertise
without damper for the stability he have no problem for a 5300 rpm engine
we set it at 95 lbs at seat for a probably 85 lbs after a couple pass
it is a completly 55 000 miles stock basment
