So does anyone know anything about "Comp Turbos"? GN1 Performance is starting to sell them. What the good and bad?

I checked Comp's site out and I could not find a 3 bolt housing. All 4 bolt that I could see. They also have a turbo option that requires no oiling. I am curious as well how good these turbos are.

Will be putting these on our site. The oil less one I am trying to get more info on. Imagine not having an oil feed OR drain on our cars. They do have to be water cooled though.

I have looked previously too.
However in the GN1 pictures they are using Turbonetics turbine housings.

would be cool to get a garrett .63 on some of those. Oil-less would sure eliminate the contamination worries on these cars....

I have been running a Comp turbo for about 4 years now. Mine is water and oil cooled though. I wanted a 4 bolt turbo for this car and I have seen no downside to it. Spool up is right now.

I have been very happy with their products. I know of 3 or 4 guys running their turbos and have had no issues.

I have been running their turbos for a few years now.i've had my share of minor issues thru the years but I believe in their turbos and have a good relationship with them.over all, I'm happy. I don't plan on using any other turbos but theirs. The triple ball bearing is an excellent design.
What size exhaust housing are you using?

Thanks,Nick

I run there turbo too. I haven't had any trouble from the turbo. It is water cooled. The only thing about the 4 bolt I have is that the exhaust exit that mates to the downpipe is a one size fits all. So it doesn't matter if the exhaust output wheel is 60mm or 76mm it will come with the same exhaust exit side that attaches to the downpipe. They just machine this one size fits all to fit the wheel you order. The issue comes in that the vband flange that has to be welded on the downpipe is a custom size that they send to you. It just traps you from using the standard flanges.

Was told that the oil less type is recommended for remote mounted turbos not for turbos mounted on headers.

Couple pics of 3 bolt flange triple bearing turbo. Port will be drilled and tapped for boost fitting.

Based on my experience with their stroker kit, I'd expect they will be a very good product.

Lots of good info. How do these turbos compare to their competition? Iwas curious as to the same thing as the OP but wanted to know a little more.
