Not to sound harsh, because your story does indicate you definitely got screwed, but several here have said in one way or another "You didn't do your homework" and it seems that simple fact is true.

You keep saying you trusted the guy. That's all well and good but it doesn't absolve you of your own responsibility for not doing some simple research and discovery before you bought.

The saying "There's never enough time and money to do it right the first time, but there's plenty of both when you have to do it a second time" sure seems to fit the bill here. After all, you sure as hell know a lot about the cars' history now, don't you?

I'm not saying what happened was fair or just, but you have two choices here.

Keep crying foul, which doesn't seem to be getting you anywhere, or bite the bullet and fix the car so you can enjoy it. If you decide to fix her, it will probably, no, it WILL cost you some serious coin. But there are lots of people on here who can and will help you get there and at the point she runs right you will realize it was all worth it.

Best of luck.

That is our intention, you are 100% right, they are working on it as of today. But need turbo, dash cluster, and whatever it needs, it will be done right. I will post pics as they start working on it. Thanks

Who is "they"?

I'm jus' askin'............

Y'all got Jimmy Jacked before.

Is the guy you have working on the car a "real" Turbo Buick guy, or just a "good mechanic"?

There is a serious and very, very real difference.

Am I reading this right.... You know an elderly couple he ripped off previously and then you bought a car from him?

I’ve been following along and I thought the same thing.

I doesn’t change the fact that the buyer was wronged and I hope this works out form him, but seriously!

You bought a car from a known thief and scumbag? Shame on you!

D

They are the men at Tony B's Body Shop, and the mechanic would be me and my sons. I'm a true Buick guy all the way, been at for 20 + years. I gave this guy a second chance, everybody deserves a second chance. Thanks

Making any progress? Pulling for you man, I bought a restalled converter from him about 4 years ago n besides being a little slow to ship he seemed like a real good Buick guy, I wouldn't have hesitated to deal with him again, but I will now.

Seems like the staff has run to the hills, what's up with that. Everything stays like always ??? Just asking !!!

I doubt that having him kicked off the site will matter at this point.
most likely the battle now will be watching out for him coming back and trying to peddle his stuff under a differant name

hope he does get thrown off. Regardless of the legality there shouldn't be shady people on this forum allowed to continue business and enjoy the perks of this pretty awesome forum. Good Luck. I let a sour experience ruin a car for me to the point where I just needed to get it out of my driveway and took a nice little loss. Enjoy the car if you can.
