Compression ratio & rod change

How much of a difference in the compression ratio will be made by switching from stock rods to the K1 5.960 or 5.970 stock replcements-i think they are slightly longer than the stock 5.95" rods? is it enough to even matter?

Not much. Just use a compression calculator and add .020 to you piston depth at TDC number. My quick guess is about .3 on a 3.8 inch bore. If you wanted close to the same CR as before run a thicker gasket
