Here is my question. I have a TTA short block with eastern performance heads. The car has been sitting for a year or so. I did a compression test on it and the numbers range from 163-170, is this to high? I know there is a differnce in the pistons on the TTA and GN Short blocks. These numbers seem high. The engine was cold and throttle closed if that makes a difference. Any input would be helpful. thanks, Mike

They are not high. There is no set in stone number. Mine are around 180psi with a 9.1:1 comp ratio, 212-212 cam and a good battery with no plugs in it and the throttle wide open. As long as they are close together which yours are you are good.
