I finished the job today. I used a 45-degree fitting from my Big Mouth kit to mount the air cleaner and the 4" clamps from the kit to mount my alky bottle (after fabricating a bracket - it's ugly but functional). So far 23 PSI and the up-pipe hasn't blown apart yet.
Coming off throttle under boost is SILKY SMOOTH now. Cured the problem I was having completely.
That's interesting...did you do any changes to the tune or translator settings or did you just run it as is? Does having the MAF in the up pipe throw off the tune?
I'm having some of the same problems but I was able to control most of it by adjusting my electronic boost controller. But some of the part throttle surge is still there and it would be nice to completely get rid of it.

No - I didn't do anything with the Translator. I just moved the MAF from one place to the other. The only boost 'controller' I have is a bleeder between the turbo and my HD actuator.
Per Dr. Boooster's description I did not have a surge problem. My problem was part throttle only when coming off of boost.
I'm turbojimmy, not to be confused with the much smarter and illustrious TURBOJIM. We live near each other but are indeed two different beings.
The slam ch ch ch still happens and is unavoidable (without a blow-off or bypass valve) - it's just air going the wrong way. What it fixed is the stumble I would get with each 'ch' in the ch-ch-ch-ch, particularly at part throttle. If I was crusing along and let off the throttle it would stumble and sputter even if I didn't let the throttle close all the way. Doesn't do that anymore.
I noticed last night that at part throttle the BB70 turbo delivers too much air for the engine to use. Even if I'm not coming off boost, the turbo starts pushing too much air at the throttle body, resulting in the 'flutter' even though I haven't boosted and let off the throttle (which usually causes the stumble). This part-throttle flutter also leads to the stumbling. Moving the MAF to the up-pipe fixed this too.
