Which one? I have read either to be used. What is the preference that all use? Thanks

rod bolts

use oil on the threads and the base of the head. and then torque to spec. If you use moly lube, torque to moly lube spec for the size bolt. not Buick spec.

They are the stock buick bolts, factory torque is 40 ft-lbs. What is the torque if I use moly lube?

usually it varies but it is best to follow the recommendations of the vendor that supplied the bolts(ARP, ROCKWELL). In this case stock bolts, just use oil and the stock torque specs. Unless this is an all out race motor, you should be fine....

my stock bolts were bolted back i with oil on threads and pulled to 45 # and have been thru pure hello ever since.

dont know about the rst of you but when i reuse stock bolts i add 5 ft #'s to the factory speck
