Hello everyone, new guy here, I just got handed down an 87 GN, approx 114,000 miles. It was my Grandmother's, and then it was maintained (almost never driven) by my dad, now mine. Looking over the engine, I noticed this green and black connection. Any idea what it is? Sitting behind the alternator.

Thanks for the help. Been doing a lot of reading.

The green one is for a tach signal. I've never use it. But the black one will run your fuel pump if you put 12v to it. I've used it to test the fuel pump / rails / fuel pressure gauge / etc for leaks. Unplug the under hood light above the brake booser and plug that wire into the black plug and your fuel pump will run.

Thanks for the great info, I will have to keep this in my memory as I learn about this car.
